Colin Law's Pathways Guide v1.1

Pathways Guide

In February 1994 Colin Law created a DOCMaker version of Micah Anderson's Pathways Into Darkness item cheat file v.3.10 and included edited versions of some of Alan Earhart's PID Maps. At the time Colin wrote:

This is a Guide for Pathways Into Darkness. It combines all the walkthrough
info with a complete set of maps in one standalone document. It prints very
nicely into a book which is quite helpful to use while you play.

Several days later Colin uploaded an updated version (v1.1). He wrote:

It has been pointed out to me that my first offering of the Pathways Guide
required fonts most people won't have. This version uses just Helvetica, and
though it is not as pleasing to the eye, most people have Helvetica on their
macs. Sorry about the original. Please replace it with this one.

Thanks,
Colin

Colin's Pathways Guide v1.1 is still available from the Info-Mac Archive at

You can also get it from this page here.

Oddly version 1.1 requires the fonts MarkerFeltThin 24 and Tekton 12 which most people will not have in their System folder. So the question is where is the Helvetica only Guide?

It should be remember that even though the Pathways Into Darkness Guide v1.1 was created in February 1994 the text is actually based on Micah Anderson's Pathways Into Darkness item cheat file v.3.10 which dates from 24 September 1993. Indeed this later document is in fact a combination of Pou Lee's PID Basic Survival Guide (v.1.1) dating from 22 September 1993 and a slightly updated version of Micah Anderson's PID how to cheat file v.2.5 dating from 25 August 1993.
