Some five and half months after Pathways Into Darkness was released Alan Earhart took the trouble to create the first screen images of the PID level maps. On the 15 January 1994 he posted the following to comp.sys.mac.games:

While playing the game I would run around like a madman visiting
every spot first and then capturing the map by a screen
snapshot. After cutting everything out with Color It! except
for the map I would print it out and then use it to make my way
around.

So, I have maps (in PICT format) of almost all of the levels.
It's about 1.5 MB uncompressed, 350 KB compressed, and about 475 KB
after binhexing the compressed file. I was thinking that I might
upload it to macgifts (goes to sumex-aim, umich, etc.) if other
people out there thought it would be helpful.

Let me know if you think this is a good/bad idea

Well, I sent off my collection of PICT format maps to Macgifts so
it should be showing up soon on umich, sumex-aim,comp.sys.mac.binaries, etc.

You can also get them from this page here. Warning though - many of the maps are not complete and are therefore of historical interest only. A Read Me is included along with a final end-game stats pic, presumably Alan's. Some of the maps made it into Colin Law's Pathways Into Darkness Guide.
